Can't Hear You Knocking video
1991, H.E.A.R. and Flynner Films produced a 57 minute videotape
documentary, "Can't Hear You Knocking." This documentary was
sponsored by the Swedish Governmentand, and is distributed
in the United States by the Cinema Guild , New York. "Can't
H.E.A.R. You Knocking" has won several Film Festival
Awards in the United Sates and Europe. The video also received
Four Star Video Rating **** Highly Recommended form the US
National Video Rating Guide for Libraries.
H.E.A.R. provides a 17 minute version of "CHYK" for short

Featuring Pete Townshend of the Who, Mickey Hart of the Grateful
Dead, Ray Charles, Lars Ulrich of Metallica, Meat Laof and
Huey Lewis, "Can't Hear You Knocking " discusses the problems
of hearing loss and loud music, using audiologists and physicians
to explain cause and effect.

CAN'T HEAR YOU KNOCKING Examines the dangers of hearing
loss from listening to or performing loud music, featuring
interviews with American and European rock musicians as well
as rock music fans, sound engineers and audiologists. Many
of the musicians interviewed acknowledge suffering from such
common ailments as tinnitus (a constant 'ringing' noise in
the ears) or hearing loss to the extent that some now use
ear plugs on stage and must use hearing aids. Members of HEAR
(Hearing Education and Awareness for Rockers), a group of
rock musicians and audiologists, discuss their educational
efforts.
The one hour program is also available in two parts for
