FOR YOUR IMMEDIATE ATTENTION To coincide with the
recent release of "H. E. A. R. This" on Sub City Records
which is a benefit CD for H.E.A.R (Hearing Education
and Awareness for Rockers) Ginger Coyote of W.T.D. Productions
and Kathy Peck of H. E. A. R. present not just one but
two Bay Area CD Release Parties.
The fun will begin on Friday. February 2,2001 at Kicks
II located at 581 5th Street in Oakland California 510-
839-3006. This event will be presented in association
with Savage Productions. Entertainment will be provide
by four hot bands from the release.
Doors will open at 9PM and the Emcee for the evening
will be the legendary DIRK DIRKSEN who adds his voice
on the CD for an opening PSA for H. E. A. R. and starting
the night will be the Nuns with Guns. East Bay favorites
VISITOR 42 will take the stage next playing their contribution
to the CD "Everything." Revved up and ready to rock
will be former San Francisco now Los Angeles favorites
The WHITE TRASH DEBUTANTES (featuring Ginger Coyote,
former Punk Globe Editor and "H.E.A.R. This" producer)
doing their track from the CD "Hey Nick.. You Did Okay"
dedicated to the memory of the late Nick Traina former
lead singer of the East Bay band Link 80 and son of
author Danielle Steel. Their set will also include special
guest appearances by the lovely YASUKO KAZAMA who hails
from Japan and Hollywood Firecracker PAIGE DARLING who
will be singing " My Pill" a song that her band The
Climactics contributed to the "H. E. A. R. This" CD
Recently reformed punk rock icons THE LEWD will satisfy
all with their hard-hitting electric set which will
include their track from the CD "Climate Of Fear".
On Saturday night February 3.2001 the fun moves to
the other side of the Bay at San Francisco' s world
famous Paradise Lounge located at 1501 Folsom Street
415-861- 6906. Emcee DIRK DIRKSEN and three of the bands
from the night before Nuns with Guns, VISITOR 42 and
WHITE TRASH DEBUTANTES will join the Bay Area's favorite
party band POLKACIDE and a very special reunion show
of THE CONTRACTIONS (featuring H. E. A. R. founder Kathy
Peck, Mary Kelly and Debbie Hopkins) this will be the
first time in over ten years that the band has played
together and they will be doing "Rules and Regulations"
from the 'H. E. A. R. This" CD. Also on hand will be
former HOUSECOAT PROJECT femme fatale MERI ST. MARY
adding a solo set to the night of festivities. The proceeds
from both events will benefit. H. E. A. R.
