Born from
the ashes of Death Angel, one of the great heavy metal bands that arose
from the San Francisco Bay Area in the 1980's, SWARM is poised to blast
a new musical beachhead. With influences ranging from AC/DC, Led Zep,
Aerosmith and Black Sabbath to Janis Joplin, Elton John, Jimi Hendrix
and The Doors, from Motorhead, Discharge and GBH to Bob Marley, Stevie
Wonder and Stevie Ray Vaughan, throw in some Van Halen, Nick Cave, Alice
in Chains, Tom Waits, Queen and Soundgarden ... this is one tasty stew
of musical bliss!
SWARM is
vocalist Mark Osegueda, Rob Cavestany on guitar and drummer Andy Galeon,
all cousins and ex-Death Angel members, joined by Michael Isaiah on bass.
Possessed
with the same fire and passion that invigorated their previous bands,
SWARM has been playing for increasingly excited audiences around the Bay
Area and looking for opportunities to spread their music around the country
and across the world.
Although
the demise of Death Angel, The Organization, Silver Circus and other predecessors
left their scars, SWARM is energized by the music they've created and
the response of their ever expanding fan base. Recent live shows by SWARM
include performances at The Exotic Erotic Ball with Motorhead at the Cow
Palace, The Fillmore Auditorium, The Viper Room, The Great American Music
Hall, Bottom of the Hill and at a recent Paradise Lounge performance,
Metallica ' s Kirk Hammett joined SWARM on stage for two songs.
A four-song
EP cd is available and the initial pressing of 1000 units is almost sold
out. For more information on the band, the EP and upcoming performances,
